Submissions

The NSJ welcomes academics and practitioners to submit an articles, book reviews or conference reports relating any aspect of the national security of New Zealand, Australia, South Pacific, Asia-Pacific and other associated global challenges which impact on New Zealand.

Submissions and Editorial Correspondence

Submissions may be directed to the Managing Editor, National Security Journal, Centre for Defence and Security Studies via cdss@massey.ac.nz (for submissions please include NSJ Submission in the subject field). General correspondence may be directed to the Managing Editor, Dr John Battersby via j.m.battersby@massey.ac.nz.

Consideration for publication will be given to practitioner manuscripts between 2500-5000 words and to academic manuscripts from 6,000-8,000 words. Prior to submission we urge authors to signal their interest by sending an abstract and requesting a style guide via email to cdss@massey.ac.nz.

All academic contributions will be peer reviewed, and NSJ reserves the right to peer review practitioner or specialist contributions as appropriate. It remains wholly the decision of the editorial board to accept submissions for publication.
